Watching movies alone

I prefer watching movies alone. Not with family. Not in a movie theater.

Other people distract from the immersion, the escapism.

Watching them on my computer, I have more control. I can skip back to rewatch a scene that was confusing, or just really cool. I can pause whenever I want. That’s useful to google a word or name I’m not familiar with. Or check the casting of an introduced character.

I worry I won’t be able to enjoy movies as much if I were to get a girlfriend/family. But hopefully there would be more enjoyment about having a shared experiences and memories to talk about.
