First time on a live video stage, speaking Japanese
I stayed up until 5am this morning. Japanese people are more active on the app in the evening Japan time, which is middle of the night for me. Today, I spontaneously decided to join a Japanese man on stage in a live video event he was hosting. There were about a hundred viewers. He could speak English, but I spoke mostly in Japanese. I would never have imagined myself doing this when I last used this HelloTalk app a couple years ago. My Japanese was not perfect. I made mistakes. But I felt comfortable in this language exchange environment.
For the most part, he asked me questions and I talked about myself. There was a bit of lag. When I reached my limit, I excused myself saying I should get to bed (it was fast 1am). Overall it was fun, and would do again.
